The First Step.......
The written test is the first step of recruitment of almost all the companies that will be visiting our campus. Clearing it is the stepping stone to get selected, without which all of the other tips and tricks would fail. So how do you prepare for such an important test?
Well the key is practice. Most of the aptitude tests contain basic question of logical reasoning and verbal ability, which I'm sure most of you would be able to do while sitting in your comfortable rooms.
So if it's that simple, what's the catch?
Well the catch here is to complete it in the given time and while sitting in computer labs of your college. While it is easy to overcome the fact that you will not be sitting on a comfortable cushion and a soft bed, however to overcome the time factor you need a lot of practice.
Practice makes you Perfect.......!!!
So where to start? Let's say for an average 3rd year student, who has taken no coaching in aptitude and is not preparing for higher studies, where is the right place to start?
The Right place to start is to clear your basics. For that RS Agarwal is simply excellent. Even for those preparing for an MBA, the shortcuts and formulas come handy when sitting in the aptitude exam. But solving the book only teaches you the tips and tricks of solving, you still need to increase your speed, for which sites such as
1) http://www.indiabix.com/
2) http://infibee.com/
3) http://www.campusgate.co.in/
come handy....and try giving timed test, it helps to boost your speed very easily...!!!
One other simple think that comes very handy but has great benefits is reading one newspaper article per day and discussing it with your friends. It helps you increase your vocabulary and improve your comprehension skills at the same time.
